Jeg elsker Tex-Mex!!!! Men må ærlig innrømme at det ofte blir det samme som kommer på bordet, (kjøttdeig iblandet ferdig pulverkrydder fra super'n med diverse tilbehør).......Det var da det, men ikke nå lenger! For maken til forskjell når man lager det fra bunnen av! Men det vet vi jo egentlig alle.....hjemmelaget er alltid best! Og greia er jo at det er minst like enkelt å lage det selv som å åpne en pose ferdig krydderblanding! Greit, du må spandere litt ekstra tid men hva gjør vel det når smaken blir så mye bedre? Fredagstacoen har kommet for å bli virker det som, iallefall i Norge. Men Tex-Mex mat er så uendelig mye mer!!!! Så hvorfor ikke prøve denne varianten neste gang? Du kommer ikke til å angre! Jeg lover!!!

I love Tex-Mex!!!! But I have to shamefully admit that it is usually the same coming on the table ever time, (minced meat mixed with ready spice from the supermarket, with various vegetables and dips on the side).....That was then, but not anymore! It comes to show time and time again - homemade is always best! You just cannot compare the ready-made food with homemade, but I guess we all know that anyway.....And the thing is that it is just as easy to make it from scratch. OK, you have to put a little more time into it but what does that matter when the taste is so much better? In Norway the tradition of "Friday-Tacos" has come to stay it seems. But Tex-Mex is just so much more!!! So why not try out this version next time? You won't regret! I promise!!!
INGREDIENSER (til 2-3 pers) / INGREDIENTS (for 2-3 persons)
3-4 kyllingfileter (ca.350-400 g) / 3-4 chickenfilets (app.350-400 g) (app.12 oz)
Til Marinaden / For the Marinade
3 ss olivenolje / 3 tbsp olive oil
3 ss lønnesirup (eller honning / 3 tbsp maple syrup (or honey)
*1 ss sherry eddik / **1 tbsp sherry vinegar
2 fedd hvitløk, knust / 2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 ts tørket oregano / 2 tsp dried oregano
1,5 ts chilipulver (el. chiliflak) / 1,5 tsp chilipowder (or chili flakes)
Salt og pepper / Salt & Pepper
* eller1 ss rødvinseddik
** or 1 tbsp redwine vinegar

Hvetetortilla / Wheat Tortillas
Rømme eller matyoghurt / Sour Cream or Greek yoghurt
Mais / Sweet corn
Cucumber / Agurk
Cheddar ost, revet / Grated Cheddar cheese

Grillet rød paprika / Grilled red peppers
Salat / Lettuce
Røde bønner / Red Kidney beans
P.S. (N) Dette er mine serveringsforslag, men kanskje du har andre favoritter? Men jeg anbefaler å følge oppskriftten på marinaden! Den er helt nydelig!!
P.S. (E) These are my suggestions and forgive me if I have forgotten something. Of course we all have different preferences for garniture. But I recommend following the recipe for the marinade! It is absolutely delicious!!!
FREMGANGSMÅTE / METHOD
Norsk: (English below)
Bland alle ingredienser til marinaden i en bolle. Skjær kyllingkjøttet i biter og bland dette godt med marinaden. Sett kjølig minst et par timer, jeg lot den stå natten over. Stek kjøttet (inkludert all marinaden) i en stekepanne. Varm tortillaene og dander kyllingkjøtt og ønsket tilbehør på disse, brett sammen og KOS DEG!!!!
English:
Mix all the ingredients for the marinade in a bowl. Cut the chicken filets into pieces and mix well with the marinade. Refridgerate for at least 2 hours, I let it marinade overnight. Fry the chicken (including all the marinade) in a frying pan. Heat the tortillas, fill them with chicken and garniture of choice and ENJOY!!!

This is great! But to be true Tex-Mex fajita you must have onions and bell peppers in the chicken mix! Oh yeah and don't forget the salsa! ;-)

SvarSlettThank you for your great feedback! I will definetely try that next time then! I loved the flavour of this marinade but I'm sure that onion and bell peppers will improve it even more! And salsa...Hmmmm. YEP! Made a great homemade one for my Quesadillas. But I might come up with a different salsa for this. Feel free to come with more advise for me!!! Loooooove everything about TexMex!!! :) :)
